Hello, on a regular basis, /tmp/lshttpd grows to 1.3GB and fills up my /tmp space (which limit is set to 1.5GB). Any idea what could be going on there?

The swap file full probably when you have a lot of accounts with a lot of static files, gzip compression may take up space.
I'd recommend you to try
  1. Method 1 - make /tmp larger enough to hold necessary swap files and gzip compression cache for static files
  2. Method 2 - relocate the folder with enough space.
  3. Method 3 - Set up a cron script for disk alert or file removal.
