Enable SSL on port 7080

#1
Hello, I setup openlitespeed just fine and am able to make websites with SSL just fine. How can I setup port 7080 to be secure on the hostname?
Say I want https://myservername:7080 to have SSL via letsencrypt.
Maybe someone can help me out? I could not find any solution in the forum.
Thanks,

Ron Cooper

You can set up a virtual host for your hostname, domain map the virtual host, and apply SSL certificate like other virtual hosts. Then go to LiteSpeed web admin > WebAdmin Settings > Listeners > SSL to use the valid key & cert.

To do this you would have to click the "details" button in the bottom right and then a little link will say something along the lines as "continue to (website) anyway (unsafe)". If it does not work, do you have any screenshots?

I click the WebAdmin Console link and get the warning on not a secure connection. I click the Continue to site and get the 'This site can't be reached'. I would have thought that LiteSpeed would have automatically added a SSL for the WebAdmin on installation. I consider this a failure in installation. Seriously, what good is a function if you can't run it.

OK, so here is what I did. On the tab where I had the WHM panel displayed, I opened up Ask Gemini and interacted with it asking questions and returning results received in the browser as it walked me through changes. It was a long process, about 2 hours, but I can now access LiteSpeed WebAdmin. AI does have it's advantages and Google Gemini has shown to be a bit better at coding than other AI accounts I pay for such as DeepAI, ChatGPT and Claude.
