Hi, I usually migrate my servers by simply exporting the disk in a vmdk format and re-deploying.
The tricky part is now, I'm migrating the server but need to link with another domain.
Unfortunately, I think that redirection rules set locally on the newly deployed machine (it's a fully functional website) makes it redirect to it's set domain name (the one that needs to be changed) so I can't access wp-admin or any other pages on the new server from a browser with direct-IP. Redirect to domain, which redirects to the old ,but functional, server.
Do you think it's doable to SSH into the new server and somehow reset the possible redirection vectors/sectors?
Or should I manually reconfig/redesign the whole thing again.
