Google Cloud image: No SSH connection

After launching the image in Google Cloud I want to connect via ssh, but always gets this message:

"Connecting...
Transferring SSH keys to the VM."

and finally:

"Connection failed
You cannot connect to the VM instance because of an unexpected error. Wait a few moments and then try again. (#15)"

I have already tried several installations ("openlitespeed-wordpress LiteSpeed Technologies-public" image in marketplace) and each time there is the same problem.

I guess you were trying to SSH via GCP console, then it's possible GCP related issue. (https://groups.google.com/forum/#!topic/gce-discussion/dpY4mXwzoCo )

Please try to add your own key to Compute Engine > Metadata > SSH Keys
Then launch a new server, now you should be able to ssh via USERNAME@INSTANCE_IP via PUTTY or any SSH tool instead of the SSH from GCP console.

Hi Eric,

yes i am using GCP console. This is the default way in GCP and I have reasons to use the GCP console.

I use many images (including Ubuntu 18.04) and they don't have this problem.

The problem is only with "openlitespeed-wordpress LiteSpeed Technologies-public" image. Can you please check it and confirm the bug.

I actually tried with it without issue.
Can you give it another try with a different Region or zone? e.g. us-central1-a
