www is "inaccessible" during initial setup? What am I doing wrong?

The root domain is, but the www is not.

I get that my A record should point to the IP address, what about my www record. Should it be an A record also pointed to the same? Should it be a cname pointed to the root?

Also, how long should I wait before trying?

I'm using Google Domains.

I think it should be a cname. In general, DNS changes are processed and propagated within 48 hours, but sometimes it can take up to 72 hours. https://support.google.com/a/answer/7514107
