    Benchmarks!

Howdy, Thanks for the feedback. We may try out the higher concurrency levels. The other stuff, though, (gzip compression levels and memory buffer size) we're pretty sure it doesn't make a big difference... m

    Benchmarks!

We may take you up on that. We're going to be starting simple and moving toward more complex, but we'll definitely look into testing XenForo if there's demand. It will probably be a little while, though. These benchmarks ain't easy. (Which is why people don't do them often.) m

    Benchmarks!

We will be building up to that. We're starting with small static files, then moving to larger static files and simple dynamic content (PHP, Ruby, and Python), then to base installations of applications. I'm not sure we'll do XenForo, though. (We'd have to buy a license, right?) m

Server is restarting multiple times a day

Howdy John, Thanks for reporting the bug. This bug is very similar to one that has been reported on the OpenLiteSpeed Google Group, and the developers are working on it. In the future, if you encounter something that is obviously a bug, the Google Group or GitHub are probably the best places...

    Benchmarks!

Howdy all, We just put out our first benchmarks for OpenLiteSpeed: http://www.litespeedtech.com/products/litespeed-web-server/benchmarks/small-static-file These are the first in what will be a series of benchmarks comparing OpenLiteSpeed, Enterprise, Apache 2.2, Apache 2.4, and nginx. These...

    Varnish?

We'll do our best. Welcome to the club. m

    Varnish?

It is definitely possible, but we don't have any guides yet. If you have any issues with the setup, I'm sure @eva2000 can be of some help. Right, eva? m

    .htaccess patch/plugin

Howdy Tracy, To some degree, I feel your pain. We're still working on making OpenLiteSpeed easier to use. We need much more documentation and a bigger community, but, with the GUI and Apache-style rewrite rules, I think it has the potential to be much easier to use than nginx. m

    OpenLiteSpeed and xCache

Also, it wasn't me that figured this out. We've got a tech lurking around the forum. He should start posting in a day or two, once he's got a feel for the community. This should step up the speed of answers and make it a lot easier for everyone to get help. m

    OpenLiteSpeed and xCache

OK. It seems like we got this one sorted: the Memory Soft/Hard Limits again. These settings are in the WebAdmin console > Configuration > Security. You have to set them higher than your xCache size. We're going to set the default much higher in future builds to avoid this problem. Hope this...

    Password protect single file

(He's talking about the /protected context, I believe.)

    Password protect single file

Well, that's odd. It sounds more like a an issue with the files being in the wrong place or perhaps your rewrite rules. I'd be happy to check out your server for you. It'd probably be best for me to have ssh access. You're sure you have a file there that can be accessed, right? m

    Password protect single file

Howdy, Yes, we need probably need a guide for this, as well. I assume you're setting up a static context. Are you getting asked for a username and password when you try to view the page? If not, my guess is you set up the context location or URI wrong. Did you set up a realm with your user...

OpenLiteSpeed slower than nginx for XenForo

So, yeah, I'm sorry I missed all this. I would be able to understand if you didn't see any discernible difference between nginx and OpenLiteSpeed — that would just mean the bottleneck is somewhere else — but, at least according to our tests, you shouldn't ever experience a slowdown with...

LiteSpeed Web Server - Privilege Escalation

Hey, When the vulnerabilities were brought to our attention, it was definitely considered whether they would affect OpenLiteSpeed, but the code is too different. And, um, if you're correcting your own mistakes, I'm not sure you need help with your grammar — though I'll be sure to be extra...

LiteSpeed Web Server - Privilege Escalation

Nope. Though, honestly, I don't understand the nitty-gritty of it. I can push the developers more if y'all are interested/worried. m

    OpenLiteSpeed and xCache

Howdy, OK. Bear with me. I'm not really familiar with Debian. But, yes, the inf.php printout. That will let you and us compare the PHP setups to make sure they're the same. m

    Hello

Hey, Moved this last post to a new thread in bugs so it will be easier to find in the future: http://openlitespeed.com/threads/openlitespeed-and-xcache.79/ Let's continue this there. m

    OpenLiteSpeed and xCache

The techs think this is a PHP issue, not an OpenLiteSpeed issue. You had xCache working with nginx and the same PHP? Can you give us phpinfo files for both setups to compare? Michael

    OpenLiteSpeed and xCache

Moved this from another thread... (Post by Tracy Perry) The biggest problem I'm having is I cannot get xCache to initialize to work with the forum (xenForo). I've got memcache up and running but no matter what parameters I use for xCache I get an error in my xenForo log. Code: ErrorException...
