What is the complete difference beetwen OpenLiteSpeed & LiteSpeed Enterprise? OLS vs LSWS

#1
I am planning to use AWS for hosting and cyberpanle with just OLS yet not sure. the site will be E commerce use woocommerce on wordpress. and lots of user who are going to have forum and posts. some kind of marketplace.

as we see that Cyber Panel has free OLS and
in some articles showing the differents of OLS vs LSWS
1-https://www.litespeedtech.com/index.php/products/litespeed-web-server/editions
2- https://blog.litespeedtech.com/2020/01/21/litespeed-web-server-or-openlitespeed/

4-https://www.litespeedtech.com/products/features/edge-side-includes
and in some general discussion mentioned that the real difference is the stability for the paid LSWS vs ols where OLS has frequent update unstable vs LSWS stable and tested. on other word the OLS is a beta version and testing version and when it get stable they move it to LSWS. which is acceptable as starting point till the site get bigger than move to the paid LSWS.
are both really the same and is it just the stability?
what is really I need someone to explain to me if possible is the differences of OLS vs LSWS in following
1- "Full .htaccess support" and?
2- ESI support?
3- MS FrontPage Server Extensions?
4- Rails shared hosting?

what is the true of the real comparison of OLS vs LSWS (enterpri)

Thank you I think Much better understanding.
only final point
I would like to confirm that I won’t provide hosting it’s my own business.
according to the link :
“OpenLiteSpeed will not autodetect an update to .htaccess. OpenLiteSpeed is most frequently used for individual sites that don't change often and it's suggested that you simply restart OpenLiteSpeed to load any new .htaccess file.”
- I will use WooCommerce
-I will use cyber panel
- using Aws vps (dedicated) ec2 or lightsail
What kind of changes that need to restart ols ? How complex is to restart the ols ?
Do you have an example please?
Is this how to auto load ?
https://openlitespeed.org/kb/how-to-autoload-htaccess-with-openlitespeed/
Thank you

Hi,

by that means anything you did to .htaccess, will requires OLS restart to take effect.

restarting it is simple as

systemctl restart lsws

or

service lsws restart

auto-load is something different , in older OLS , you will need to set in OLS to tell it to read htaccess file , with this feature you just need to set to ON and then it will read htaccess when it starts up

OLS is free and open-source, while LSWS is a paid, more feature-rich version with better stability, especially for high-traffic sites or commercial purposes. The stability difference often comes down to the testing cycle—LSWS gets more rigorous, enterprise-level testing, making it more suitable for larger-scale websites where downtime or instability can’t be afforded.
